Getting to Lokal Hotel Cape May

We are located at 5 Stockton Place, Cape May, NJ 08240.

We provide one car parking for each room. The lot is located to the left of the hotel, and spaces are assigned and labeled by room.

Prior to your arrival you will be provided with a 4 digit access code for the front door and for your suite.

Staying at Lokal Hotel Cape May

Check-in is after 3pm. If you arrive early, please text us and we can let you know as soon as your room is ready. In season, you are free to lounge by the pool until your room is available.

Check out is at 11 am. There is nothing to do before checkout, just make sure you have replaced all items (beach tags, etc. as applicable in season), close the door behind you and move the car from the lot. Due to our extensive cleaning process we do not allow late checkouts during the high season.

You must be 25 or older to book a room. Please note that for security purposes, we ask all guests to provide a valid government or state-issued photo ID prior to check-in.

No, all of our hotels are pet-free facilities and do not allow pets. If you have an ADA certified pet (not an emotional support animal) please reach out directly for approval.

Lokal Hotel Cape May has two ADA compliant rooms (one studio, Afternoonified, and one family suite, Chuckaboo) accessible via an outdoor lift. We also have an ADA parking space. If you are in need of ADA accomodations or special services, please reach out to us so we can ensure all of  your needs are met. 

Due to capacity and space, we do not offer luggage storage at Lokal Hotel Cape May.

Due to no on-site staff or concierge, Lokal can not accept any on-site mail or packages.

Lokal Hotel enforces a strict No Party Policy for the comfort and security of all hotel guests.  Excessive noise will not be tolerated at any time. Should guests violate this policy, a violation will result in immediate eviction from the hotel without refund and a violation fee.

Commercial photography and filming are prohibited on property without prior approval from Lokal Hotel. Any unauthorized use of images of Lokal Hotel or its contents is strictly prohibited and will result in a fee of up to $1,000.

We provide a full housekeeping service prior to check-in. Mid-stay cleanings can be accommodated between 11 – 2 PM for $50/cleaning.

We will make every effort to honor special requests such as a specific floor, room location, extra towels, etc. prior to your arrival. All special requests are noted on reservations and we will do our best to accommodate. However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Yes! We have a 2-3 night minimum stays during the high season. Our minimum requirements vary during the off season and you can always make special requests we will consider. 

Yes! Just pop across the street to the Stockton Beach and let the attendant know you are a guest of Lokal Hotel. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided at no charge to you.

The City of Cape May now allows us to provide our guests with commercial beach tags. Please just try to remember to return them to your room as they are pricey and hard to get…

YES! We will be open year round every year because Cape May is an amazing place to visit any time of the year!

We try to keep the pool open until the 1st week of January and open it back up around the first week of April weather depending. We are committed to being the last to close our pool and the first to open it in Cape May.

Our pool is open from 9 AM to 9 PM daily in season. Our pool equipment and music do not run until 10AM for a peaceful morning pool time each day.

Reservations & Cancelations

Changes or cancellations can be made up to 14 days prior to the arrival date. At that time you will be charged in full and becomes non-refundable. Please note we do not refund for weather, unless there is a declared state of emergency in New Jersey. We also no longer refund for Covid or other illnesses. Please be aware of this policy when booking. 

Reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. You will be charged 14 days in advance when the reservation becomes non-refundable. Reservations that are not paid 14 days in advance will be released.

We’ll send you an email to confirm all your reservations details including the confirmation number, dates of stay, room type and your confirmed rates.

Parking, beach tags and beach services are all included in our nightly rate. We do not provide daily cleanings, however you can request fresh towels or garbage removal (before 11 am daily) for no additional charge. Mid Stay cleanings are $50 and can be requested in advance. Please note we do not charge any resort fees. 

Rooms at Lokal Hotel Cape May

Here at Lokal, we provide everything you need! From freshly ground Out There Coffee, Wise Ape Teas, sugars, spices and everything nice! We also provide olive oil and vinegar from Cape May Olive Oil, a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc.). We have (In our opinion) the most lux robes for snuggling in the room or lounging by the pool. Ready to head to the beach? We provide beach towels, yeti coolers, yeti mugs, and yeti water bottles. We also have beach games in the room – paddle ball and beach bocce. We provide all the basics – hair dryer, umbrellas, and iron/ironing board (located in the main hall above the washer and dryer). Speaking of, there is a complimentary washer and dryer located on each floor of the hotel, Tide Pods included. Need anything else? Feel free to reach out and ask! 

Our studios feature queen size beds and can accommodate up to two guests, plus one infant or toddler (see note below).

Our two bedroom family suites can accommodate up to five guests.

Please note we do not offer pull out couches, cots or toddler beds. Pack and plays can be provided upon request.

No. All rooms are completely non-smoking. If you light up or vape inside the hotel we must charge a $1000 smoking fee to your card, plus taxes. You are welcome to smoke by the fire-pits next to the pool area.

Yes, there is free WiFi in all public areas and in guest rooms.

Yes! All of our rooms have outdoor decks. We also have a common area grilling station, yard, and pool area.

Yes! Not only do we provide top of the line Parachute linens on all of our beds, we also provide luxurious towels, robes and beach towels for all of our guests!
