The rooms are large, sunny and filled with everything you need for the beach—coolers, water bottles, beach tags as well as concierge service on the sand with umbrellas and chairs. The beds, bedding and towels were top notch and you can enjoy your coffee 3 different ways! If you don’t like coffee, there is an assortment of high end teas to select from. If you’re like me and crave lots of cold drinks, there is a large refrigerator in the well stocked kitchen. The location can’t be beat—just across the street from the beach and a stone’s throw from all of the best restaurants and bakeries in town. Each day after the beach we floated around on giant inner tubes in the heated salt water pool. I highly recommend this small, chic, cozy, hip hotel with large rooms and outdoor decks off each room. The only thing we didn't like was that there wasn't a door on the bathroom. On other reviews about the lack of a door, the owner noted that she loved the "open look" but it's not always so great with out a door. For example, my husband was in a zoom meeting while I was in the shower. And of course, I couldn't use the hair dryer due to noise without a door. (there is a half size curtain between the shower/sink and the rest of the space). If you are traveling with a friend or teenager (rather than with your spouse), the lack of privacy would be uncomfortable. Other than, it's a perfect place! read less

We were in a ground floor studio room at the front of the hotel - so two notes - the bed is a queen size and a bit small for two people (esp on vacation!) and there are no sheers on the windows, making it feel very fishbowl like! We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite facing the pool and it was quiet and spacious. Free W/D on each floor with tide pods provided. We cooked in kitchen a few times and ate out the rest. So much to do in area (local zoo, minigolf, nature center, farmers markets, bike/golf cart rentals, beach across street, wonderful local restaurants with outdoor seating options). We are currently visiting President’s Day weekend. We are so happy we had this experience and booked here. We have already booked again for May and can’t wait to return. The room is extremely clean and we feel right at home. Everything is very open and we have a great view of the ocean (room 201). The location is very close to our favorite places and will require less walking than when we stay at our usual establishments. Courtney is also extremely responsive. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality & attention to detail from the on-site amenities, in room technology, and locally curated items. Being a coffee lover, they had the proper coffee tools for us to make pour over coffee each morning - this was the icing on the cake for us!

The rooms themselves were extremely comfortable and clean. We took full advantage of what the property had to offer - heated swimming pool, firepit, balcony (with an ocean view), and even items to bring to the beach (Yeti cooler, blankets, towels)! The location was perfect - a block away from the beach, walking distance to the middle of town with restaurants and beautiful shops (check out GIVENS CIRCLE). Our favorite part was relaxing in the room - taking in the vibe and solitude the shore has to offer. We already have and will recommend Lokal to family and friends. It was truly a memorable experience. They have three other locations that we will be sure to check out! read less

The location is right across the street from the beach. The tags for Sterges got us beach chairs and an umbrella. The tags for beach access were provided as well. Then the pool- was AMAZING! I loved the bench that was built into the pool. The room was beyond our expectation. Everything in there was clean and perfect. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. For coffee lovers there are multiple ways to brew your coffee!
Courtney was quick to answer me with the questions we had. We will definitely be returning, hopefully sooner than later.

The suite is well designed and felt very spacious for all five of us. From our suite you can kind of see the ocean from the terrace, however, there are some power lines obstructong the view. But you do see the ocean. We stayed in a studio apartment, which was very comfortable. I love that everything is locally sourced, from the coffee beans to the tea cups. They also provided a beach blanket, which was superb. It was fantastic. My partner enjoys fine amenities, and this place was top notch. We played corn hole, and they provide other games. The interior decor was nice as well, certainly a lot more modern and appealing than other hotels and B&Bs that I had looked into at Cape May.

Sadly the pool wasn’t yet open when we were there due to NJ reopening restrictions, but it sure looked enticing. It was nice that beach tags and service (umbrella and chairs) were included. There is an outdoors area with a fire pit and cornhole setup. Also very convenient to have a kitchenette with a full supply of accessories and utensils and a small dining table. We ended up getting takeout and bringing back to the room for our meals.

One area that I wish could be much improved was the bed. We stayed in the Nanty Narking on the second floor, and the bed squeaked with every movement. Our stay would have been much more enjoyable if this were fixed. More read less
